30 Days of Biking. Episode 3

With all the extra time I have while confined to my home, I’m taking courses in filming and editing.  It takes a ton of work to storyboard, rehearse, sound, light and all the other things to do this properly.  My filming is more like newsreels, and the editing is what I’m continually working  at  doing a better job.   As a professional friend once told me. “Less is better. Leave them wanting more.”  That’s my goal.

I now find myself paying close attention to opening scenes when I watch a TV show.  I’m getting some great ideas and am currently studying on how to do those things. I just finished editing episode 3 of 30 days of biking.

Walking With the Pups

Sheltering in place gives me more time to hone my video editing techniques. I usually do bike events, but walking and riding by myself gives me the chance to do something different.

Working on Video Editing

There is not a lot of bike video possibilities without all the events I usually work.  I am working on editing and will probably go back and re-edit many of my event videos.  I’m really enjoying this.

Working on Video Skills

I’m working on my video skills.  Last night I created one of many to come, endings. This one is Star Trek themed and I have a plethora of themes to invent.  It’s keeping me busy.

30 Days of Biking

I signed up on the free registration page to commit to riding every day in April.  It’s my 5th go at this fun pledge.   In the past, snow, rain, and cold all conspired to make riding a challenge.  I have never done all thirty days,  but… because of committing myself, I rode on days that normally I would have brushed off.  In the snow. The Boston Marathon Midnight Ride. Mellow Johnny’s in Austin TX.  Riding with whales in New Bedford, MA.

I will begin this quest and have a blast riding my bike.   Try it. You’ll like it.
