Bike Ride this coming Friday!!! There will be a Sunset/Moonlight ride on the East Bay Bike Path on Friday 10/11/19.
It’s time for another Sunset/Moonlight ride. The full moon is actually on Sunday the 13th, but there should be plenty of “Moon” a couple of days ahead. As an aditional bonus the Moonrise is at 5:39PM. By the time the sun sets at 6:10PM the moon should be visible.
The Details: Date: Friday 10/11/19 — Location: EBBP off Rt 103 near Del’s Lemonade.
Time: Arrive: 5:30PM — Departure: 5:45PM promptly — Sunset: 6:10PM — Moonrise: 5:39PM
Name: Full Hunter’s Moon — Distance is flexible. — Rain cancels the ride.
We will ride toward Providence till we decide to turn around. Turn around point will probably be India Point Park unless we decide to turn around sooner (or later). That’s around 22 or 23 miles round trip. Bikes should have adequate lighting. If you have a second headlight as a backup that might come in handy if the first one goes out. Bring water, snacks, cameras and anything else you might want or need. Helmets are recommended, but not required. It’s a bike path fercryinoutloud. Take note that it is cooler after sunset and dress accordingly.
