Friday July 17th. 
Meet at Parking lot behind Pub 99 in Fairhaven, near radio shack, for this 5:30 start.  An easy spin over the bridge into New Bedford for the Summer Sound Series. There is a beer truck, (Miller only), ice cream and light snacks for sale on the pier.  Or like me, you could strap a cooler to your rear bike rack and give Stella a ride to the concert.

If you want to have dinner, The Black Whale restaurant is also on Pier 3.

NOTE:     Dress summer casual. No helmet or spandex necessary for this slow 3.3 mile social ride on the bike path to New Bedford.     HERE is the bike route.


Directions.  This is the old Shaws parking lot in Fairhaven.  From rt 195, take exit 18 to Fairhaven.  Cross Rt 6 at the second traffic light.

Enter the first driveway on the right which is 99 and Cardoza’s Liquors.  Stay right in the lot and drive around the back of Cardoza’s.  Park in  the large empty lot near Radio Shack.

Bike ride and Yoga class. (Weather Permitting)

Saturday – July 18, 2015
– Start Time for Ride 7:30am – Yoga Class starts at 8:30am – We will be riding at 12 to 14 miles per hour.

Meet up place – Parking lot across the street from Meditech which is located at 101 Martine Street (Route 6)

The Yoga class is given by Jeff Costa who is an internationally recognized fitness and lifestyle consultant and a leading creative force in the industry. The payment for the Yoga class is by donations and the class is located at Partners Village in Westport. The ride to the class is all on-road and is 10 miles with a 20 mile round trip. Those not taking part in the class will continue to ride to Westport Point and back for refreshments at Village Partners. Make sure to roll up your yoga mat and bring it along.

The Appalachian Mountain Club is sponsoring a ride in Fairhaven

Hi everyone, We’re having a ride this coming Saturday starting at 8am from the Kmart parking lot in Fairhaven. Address is 9 Plaza Way. This is a flat, scenic ride of 27 miles with a lot of nice ocean views. The pace is usually arowund 12-23 mph. Helmets are required and bring enough water and snacks . We’ll ride the Phoenix-Mattapoisett Rail Trail, visit West Island, Fort Phoenix and the Hurricane Dike overlooking beautiful New Bedord Harbor then take a spin around Fairhaven Ctr. A mile before the end of the ride we’ll stop at Simmy’s Restaurant for lunch. Please let me know if you’re coming to the ride and also let me know if you need specific directions to Kmart. Blithewold Mansion Museum Ride (Weather Permitting)

Sunday – July 19, 2015 – Start time of ride is 9:30am – Museum opens at 10am
Meet up place – Take 103 toward Warren – after Del’s Lemonade take left and park along the left. Ride will be along the bike path and on-road. Approximately 8 miles to the museum. (We have made arrangements for parking our bikes in their carriage house.

The Blithewold Mansion and garden is located in Bristol R.I. Ranked by Yankee Magazine as one of the five best public gardens in New England, Blithewold, formerly home to the Van Wickle family, is a 45-room English-style manor mansion filled with family heirlooms, framed by a series of lovely gardens and arboretum on Narragansett Bay.

Admission is $11 for AAA members, $12 regular price.
